Indy-Anna Bones is an archaeologist, street-art expert, amateur cryptozoologist, and admirer of skunks, weasels, and badgers.
Indy-Anna visited the mysterious Newport Tower a New England enigma.

Newport Tower

Newport, RI.

On her way up the hill, Indy-Anna discovered the place the tomato was introduced to this country.
The tower is located in Newport, Rhode Island, behind a fence in grassy Touro Park.
Most experts agree the tower is the remains of a 17th-Century granary, which would be impressive enough on its own.
Some alternate histories see this tower as a Viking remnant, or a Crusader knight, possibly a connection to the Westford Knight.
Indy-Anna Bones found no evidence to prove any of these theories for sure.
The tower shares the park with a statue of William Emery Channing, an early leader in the Unitarian church that bears his name.
Be it the work of Vikings, or of early British settlers, The Newport Tower is a tiny connection to history, and Indy-Anna Bones was proud to have visited.
