Indy Anna Bones is an archaeologist, explorer, adventurer, street art expert, cryptozoologist, and snail farmer.
She had come to Milford, Connecticut in search of buried treasure.

Captain Kidd's

Cursed Treasure Island

Milford, Conn

As Indy-Anna arrived at the beach she was reading a story of a drowning that happened only a few days before.
Could this be one more victim of a curse that had been taking lives since 1639?
The water of the Atlantic was brown and the sky was grey looking over the Long Island sound.
A few brave souls ventured out on their yachts.
Indy Anna had not come for the beach, she had come to see Charles Island.
The local Paugusset chief who traded the island to the English supposedly laid the first curse upon Charles Island.

The most famous legend of Charles Island is that Captain Kidd, on his final voyage to Boston, paused to bury some of his vast booty.
Charles Island is now a protected region for nesting herons and egrets.
No longer a true island, Charles Island is connected to the mainland by a causeway that can be walked across in low tide.
Always a friend to birds, Indy-Anna called off the treasure hunt.
As if to say 'thank you,' an egret perched on the rocks to watch Indy-Anna walk away.
